My Name's DavidLopezzy, some call me Davey.

I’m a designer, artist and illustrator in the United States of Texas.

Who is this guy!
I would say my style of work and inspiration comes from years of working with other creatives in advertising.   My day job or the more serious side of my work is creating professional logos, providing digital content and graphic design collateral for my clients.  I have 10+ clients whom I marketed myself as their art department and continue to do that job daily.  The fun side of my design slash art career is bringing to life my quirky, quippy, funny mockups and designs and now being able to present them online to everyone who wants to order my artwork encased in acrylic frames.

Trust the process
I work mainly in digital illustration within the Procreate app and beginning Adobe Fresco on iPad for the illustration and various design mockups.  I love what I do and I do what I love.  Although Procreate is generally known better as an artists app for painting and illustrating, I’ve learned to use it as a graphic design tool and showcase my skills in livestreams with use of typography, layout, visual design which I refer to as “creatorials”.  I’ll show to teach, if you will watch to learn.  Even though I don’t consider myself an instructor, I don’t mind the audience working on designs.

Inspiration
I get asked a lot about where do I get my inspiration for these mockups and the best answer for that is, from everywhere!  In real life at stores, seeing commercials on TV, magazines, experiencing everything all at once in my surroundings helps me file away in my notes app many good and horrible ideas.  I write them all down, even if I take a photo of my foot, I’ll mark up the screen with my finger and save it.  Online inspiration? When the creative juice runs out, I open up Pinterest and the explore page on Instagram.  Otherwise, many of my besties feed me daily content ideas which takes my mind off the stresses of searching and I can focus my creative energy on the mockups.  My creative receptors are always on!
